Our aim is not to get rid of the voices, but to make their relationship with the voice-hearer more equal through helping the person take back control.

Many people who hear challenging voices have found that a turning point in coping with the experience is finding different ways of talking with and understanding them. In this ground breaking DVD Dirk Corstens explores both the theory and practice of voice dialoguing techniques. This DVD will provide a step by step guide for voice hearers and workers to constructively help change the relationship between the voice-hearer and their voices.

Dirk Corstens: Since 2009 Dirk has been the chair of INTERVOICE. Dirk he is a social psychiatrist and psychotherapist, specialising in Voice Dialogue work. Since 1992, Dirk has been a collaborator in the Hearing Voices Project of Marius Romme and Sandra Escher. He developed the recovery programme, ‘Talking with Voices’. He delivers courses with Ron Coleman and Eleanor Longden on ‘Working and talking with voices’.

In this moving account, Eleanor Longden tells her own story of recovery and discovery: her journey through the psychiatric system; from being told she would have more chance of recovering if she had cancer; to becoming an award winning psychologist working in mental health. In the DVD Eleanor talks candidly about her experience of abuse, self-harm and voice hearing.  This DVD is challenging, inspirational and full of hope for people who have these types of experiences, their families, friends and workers.

Eleanor Longden: Eleanor Longden is an award winning psychologist currently working on her PhD and also with the Bradford Early Interventi n in the Psychosis Team. As a past user of psychiatric services, she has a strong interest in promoting tolerance, awareness and positive explanations for mental health issues, and for the last four years has worked in both a clinical and academic capacity to endorse creative, enabling approaches to experiences such as voice-hearing, unusual beliefs and self-injury.

I have been hearing voices for almost a year now. I don’t hear full conversations but only short comments and gigglins/laughs.
I just ignore them since I am not a supersttitious person. But I also always feel the presence of other beings around me. I have been ignoring that too.

I go about my daily business and don’t let that interfere at all with my life. Even though I have the feelings that this force is trying to control my life.

Any tips or suggestions how to better deal with this is highly welcome.

      Hi Joseph,
I started experiencing the same thing you are talking about 10 years ago. I have tried everything I know. Mostly lots of prayer. I have been to a couple doctors, they gave me some medication and that didn’t work. Then I found this, The Trivedi Foundation. They are at trivedifoundation.org, or trivedimasterwellness.com. I”ll let you read about it and decide for yourself but I can tell you I did this a couple times and it stoped the voices and drove the entities right off. Life is a lot nicer now, believe me.

I’d love to order “Knowing You, Knowing You,” but the link is dead and I couldn’t find it among the other DVDs for sale at http://www.workingtorecovery.co.uk. Do you know where I can buy a copy that will work in the U.S.? Or better still, a digital download? Thanks!
