Hi Just a quick enquiry, Does Marious still do the intensive voice hearing training in Holland? I think it used to be a 5 day training course for voice hearers and workers, or could you recommend any similar training or intensive hearing voices work in the UK? Cheers Darren

I am hoping you can help us find a way of supporting our daughter through recovery from a severe mental breakdown. She was a final year medical student in Newcastle, but following an overdose in April 2007 was diagnosed with deep depression with psychotic auditory hallucinations. As a student, she had to return home to Powys for her care and since then, has oscillated between hospital and home. We are hoping you can guide us in our search for some kind of temporary residential care, which would offer respite from the 2 current options, both of which are flawed in terms of her recovery. From Canada: Since Jan 08 (8 months) I've heard from three distinct voices who constantly play their games "I'm evil" "You're evil" "NO I'm not" "yes you are" Other games like hearing from "the good voice" I've yet to name them I can barely tell them apart. I hear them from the moment I wake till the second I fall asleep. They help me shop for healthy food and they tell me the weather and are WRONG every time. I've been told I am in training for some big responsibilities. They have told me about religious things but cannot recite anything from the Bible yet. I'm not yet impressed by anything about these voices so I committed myself to the hospital twice and am on heavy medication. I'm not sure if it reduces the voices much that seems to depend more on being silent and ignoring them. So I am starting to meditate which I know they "the evil voices" don't like. Every morning the voices are faint by days end it's my goal to make them more faint. But perhaps they are meant to be and I need to figure out why. So I am here to learn as much as I can.

Dear INTERVOICE Yesterday, I joined your new Forum, and posted an introduction and four of my articles on hearing voices on it. Today, I sent you two excellent booklets on Overcmoming Mentalism, but my email from my peterpoets@hotmail.com address, came back as undeliverable. You seem to have blocked my emails from my hotmail to you. Can you please tell me why you have blocked me, and whether you will unblock me, because the booklets are superb, and I thought they could be available as free downloads on your website? My partner is a voice hearer and believes I am talking to one or more of her voices through my foot. This creates a barrier between us. Where can I get online advice and help. Thanks, Chris

06.11.2009 Here we are getting Christmas soon. My ability to enjoy it or anything is small because voices are evil. They cause my life ruin. If I get message from some other voice hearing people it make me happy. I had a severe head injury 3 years ago. Since my accident I will feel like I am having a seziure but the medication blocks it. I have strong smells afterwards. In the past 6 months... I hear different things than what people are saying both watching TV and most recently among a group of people. It lasts a short time but enough to make me worry. It is really scareing me. Have you ever heard of this happening???

About a month ago my Grandma who is 83 started hearing voices. Some are real characters who have existed in her tough life and some are new religious figures. The evil ones are some people she has known and had bad experiences with in the past, and says they are trying to harm her and the good voices are the religious figures who are protecting her. She has been put on medication but she hasnt really improved. She lives with my mother and isnt alone, but we are all worried and unsure about how to treat her and deal with this. I think at one point we thought she has lost her mind. Then I stumbled on this website and luckily it has helped me realise that there are many similar cases out there managing their condition. It all makes more sense now. Thank you.

My son is suffering from hearing voices. He is seen by psychiatrist and taking medication regularly. He still complains of hearing voices when is disturbed or when things dont go his way. He has problem with continuity of thoughts and focusing.

I am interested to know which groups are active in research on hearing voices? Does Marius Romme still carry out research and if yes where can one contact him. If not which other groups are currently active in this area? Thanks Salma
