Monika Hoffmann

Monika Hoffmann

Monika Hoffmann is a psychologist and is one of the co-founders of the "NeSt", the German Hearing Voices Network and still one of its most active members.

"Whenever I am working with people who hear voices today, I understand my professional role no longer as someone who has to put all her energies in suppressing voices at all costs but rather as someone who assists voice hearers in becoming mistress or master in their own homes again. While they are learning to do this, I feel very often helpless and stupid. Most likely this is only a shadow of what the voice hearer is going through at the same time." Monika Hoffmann
