Never Never... a poem about hearing voices by Martin Brotheridge

Updated 01/03/2008

Up all night alone with him.
Never does he sleep,
Never does he give in.
Does anyone hear what he says?
The visions of blood carries on for days.
He shows me the future and he drags up the past.
Will he ever stop how long will this last?
Time for my meds to stop this eternal racket,
I welcome the peace of this chemical straight jacket....

Hi, I run a group about hearing voices on an inpatient ward in London. I was looking for some poems to close the group with and I thought yours was a good choice. Would you mind if I shared your poem in this context.
