Intervoice, as you probably know, has big ideas. We want to change the world and help improve things for voice-hearers across the world.
Whilst we have big ideas, we are sensible too. We know we cannot change the world alone – we need to work alongside other people and organisations to create real change.
With this in mind, we are currently reviewing the role we can play in supporting and promoting existing national networks, and what we can do to help set up national networks in countries that do not currently have one.
We know we can only achieve this through engaging the enthusiasm and commitment of the people who make up the networks, so your views and ideas are really important to us.
We cannot promise to put everyone’s ideas into action immediately because we have very limited resources but we can guarantee that your thoughts will influence the way Intervoice seeks to develop its work in the future.

I at times “hear” my name called out but not in an auditory way. Sometimes I will hear a loud bang in my mind but with some other sense than my ears. As a child of 3 yrs I heard a complete non-auditory sentence that stopped me in my tracks and bothered me greatly until I decided such hearing of voices, when there is no one around, might be something real I had not yet learned about from others.
I know Willy Nelson the song singer and writer sings of hearing his name called out in his head. Others tell me of sentences spoken to them in their mind as thought telepathy from an unknown source.
Why always the same experience of hearing your own name? I suspect non-auditory hearing is common but people do not speak of it . So I write you of my experience to add to whatever you do.
