There is growing interest in Spain where Professor, Dr. Manuel Gonzalez de Chavez Menendez has initiated the translation of ‘Making Sense of Voices’ into Spanish.

This edition was published in December 2005 and presented at a conference in Madrid with 800 participants.

Since then, they have translated a number of important booklets and articles. See below for more information.

Psychosis as a personal crisis: an experienced based approach This is a description and endorsement of the significance of the work of the hearing voices movement. It has been written as a foreword to a soon to be published book and has been written by by Manuel Gonzalez de Chavez, Professor and Chief of the Psychiatry Service of General University Hospital, Madrid.     Hola,

    Tengo una amiga que escucha voces. Durante 15 años ha sido diagnosticada como bipolar y con períodos en los que escucha voces.

    Ahora ha empezado terapia con un psiquiatra, que la está ayudando mucho, y apenas toma medicación, pero las voces han vuelto.
    Me gustaría saber cómo puedo ayudarla, porque ella afirma que esas voces son reales, normalmente le dan mensajes negativos.
