Join us at the next INTERVOICE Meeting, to be held in Perth, Australia

The dates for the next INTERVOICE meeting have been confirmed as the 6th, 7th, and 8th November 2008. The meeting will follow an International Recovery Conference conference Recovery and Psychosis to be held on the 4th and 5th of November 2008. Experience Focused Counselling Trainings in Germany
The aim of EFC is to accompany a person who has got experiences that can be difficult to understand, such as voice hearing, visions, unusual beliefs, etc. Talking about these experiences, taking them seriously and working jointly and systematically on making sense of them helps to cope.

Group Facilitation Training in London
Do you want to develop the skills to facilitate a hearing voices group?
8 week training courses organized by Jacqui Dillon, National Chair of the HVN.

The Dutch TREE-Programme
TREE stands for working Towards Recovery, Empowerment and Experiential knowledge by and with people with psychiatric disabilities This programme combines the strategies and methods of user initiatives which are thought to account for their success.

Hearing Voices Network:
Special One-day conference in London, UK, 29th January 2008

An interactive day where the views of psychiatric survivors will be given equal weight to those of professionals. This will be a ‘festival of explanations’ for those who are struggling to do something different both inside or outside mental health services.

De-medicalising Misery, London, UK, 14/05/2007
De-medicalising Misery examines the effects of medicalised understandings of distressing human experience, and explores ways to counter them.

Recovery from Psychosis – Not An Alien Concept, (one day events) 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th September 2007
By the end of the day participants should better understand ways of working with psychosis that promote a recovery agenda. We will explore how people can and do recover from psychosis.

One-day conference: Spirituality, Psychology and Mental Health, Bradford, UK, 21st June 2007
This conference will focus on understanding different cultural and spiritual approaches to mental health and how spirituality can be incorporated in clinical psychology training.
