Joshua Slocum became the first person to circumnavigate the world single handed in 1898 aboard a boat called Spray. He claimed to have been aided by the ghost of Christopher Columbus’s helmsman, who guided him safely through storms and bouts of illness.
Yep me to.
October 29, 2011 – 1:22 pm This is one of the reasons I’ve had such an itaernnl battle with myself about trying to make a living playing music, let alone leading worship at my church. Even if I could get to the point in my head where no part of it was about me (which I know I cannot), I know that most people in the crowd/congregation would still think so.How do we honestly glorify God with our music (inside and outside the church walls) when most people are going to be distracted by our very presence and performance? And as an artist, how do you deal with the culture of being worshiped yourself by people who enjoy your music?
